We went to the thrift store on Saturday (it was Small Business Saturday and we wanted to support our local shops) to search for fuzzy blankets and materials for future fiber projects. As far as the blanket go, most of what we found there was red, just in time for the holidays. They (naked kidz) seem to be chillier than last year, requiring more warm spots than they did for Snow-Megedon in 2010. Most fuzzy blankets are $1 or $2 dollars at the second-hand store, a great penny saver when you need things for your pets to wrap up in. I'm going to feature some of my buying second hand strategies next year when this blog is revamped toward yarn again but for now let's feel the heat coming out from the covers.
