Yes I know Hanukkah is over. I didn't make much of a post about it because as you know my attention was elsewhere (Still guarded, bu she is doing a little better , thanks for asking). No Cat video or mainstream song to share this year... well I did have one song to share, but I forgot to post. It's such a cool song anyway, let's forget the holiday is passed and enjoy.
There are plenty of Hanukkah songs out there. It's just that not many of them are contemporary and like Adam Sandler's Hanukkah Song, most of them have to do with the Dreidel or are a bit of a joke. The subject of Hanukkah is serious, but is an American tradition to do holiday songs so we Jews are a bit behind to catch up. Mantsyahu did two really great songs Miracles and this year's offering of Happy Hanukkah. But I found this one about a month ago that I really liked. It has little to do with Hanukkah, but has that jazzy, romantic vibe that so many Christmas Holiday songs are becoming well known for (the most popular or best selling Christmas songs have little to do with the original message of Christmas, to the chagrin of some of my friends). This song, Hanukkah Lovin' by Michelle Citrin is very catchy and fun to listen to and hum.
So whatever your fancy and holiday preference, I hope you all are enjoying the season with the ones you care about.
Hug your kids, it's been a hard year for feeling safe.
