I finished the Fleur-de-Lis Shawl. After frogging back a couple of times and praying that I purchased enough yarn, I'm pleased with the result. All I have to do now is block it and fringe it...maybe.
When I first say the picture of the Fleur-de-Lis Shawl I looked at the fringe and didn't think much of it, just regular fringe. Then as I finished the shawl and looked at the instructions for what I thought would be the measurement of how long in inches I should cut the yarn it instead added more crocheting to the pattern. The fringe is a chain loop; alternating between large looping and picot. Like I've always said, It's fun to be blind.
I'm not all together sure I like the fringe pattern. I'm trying to decide whether to just stick with the pattern, create my own edging or just leave it as is. My lovely model, Michelle S. is wearing it well in this picture and thinks it's just fine as is.
What do you think; Fringe or No Fringe?
